Irene JK

About Me

Irene JK (IK) is an Indian-born, London-based visual artist whose work explores the
inner and outer narratives of becoming. Self-taught by instinct and refined
through practice, she later trained at the Royal Drawing School (Drawing Intensive,
2024), the Art Academy Summer School (2022), and Dulwich Art Group (Oil Painting, 2023).

Her work moves between oil, gouache, ink, and printmaking—layering gesture,
silence, and symbolism to examine how the world shapes our personal
mythologies. Whether depicting stillness or dissolution, she is drawn to unfinished edges, veiled forms, and the interplay of fragility and strength.

Working mostly from her home studio, IK's practice is intimate and reflective. She
exhibited her work at Drawn In (The Art Office, London, 2024) and continues to
build a body of work that acts not as decoration, but as mirror, question, and imprint.

Her current work explores the borders of becoming.
